Annual Conference and Retreat
Each January, Men’s Ministries participates in the Olympic Peninsula Men’s Fellowship Winter Conference. Typically this is a two-day conference at Port Angeles or Sequim location. Meals are provided but overnight lodging is not.
The Men’s Retreat is held each spring at Fort Worden. Registration includes two nights and five meals and is open to men and their sons. For more information contact the church office.
Weekly Bible Studies
Bible studies emphasize caring relationships centered on learning for living God’s truth. They meet in various locations throughout the week. [more]
Deacons
The deacons are a group of men which attend to the necessities of the poor and the receiving and disbursement of benevolent offerings collected for this purpose. They attend to matters of financial management and the maintenance of the properties of the Church and provide for the material necessities of the property. Neighborly care is also part of this ministry through providing transportation, firewood, and some maintenance. Contact: Mike Stenger.
Helping Ministries
An important way for men to minister is to assist the Deacons in some of their areas of responsibility. A frequent need is with assisting people in the body with moving or maintenance projects. Also, from time to time there are work projects around the IBC buildings that require “many hands” to make shorter work. There is always room for more to share in the ushering ministry.
