We offer Christian education opportunities for children of all ages. We want children to learn Jesus loves them, God’s Word is true, and church is a happy place. It is our goal to teach God’s word in a meaningful and creative way.

Sunday Nursery

IBC provides two nurseries: Infant for birth–23 months and Toddler for ages 24–47 months. Available for all morning services and School of Ministry times.

Sunday School: Children Desiring God

Sunday School for ages 2 years-old–5th grade

Our goal is that children learn to hope in God by getting to know Him. Our aim is to impart to children a vision of God, who He is, and who we are in relation to Him, and to establish them with a foundation of doctrine and truth. We want them biblically grounded, seeing God as the hero of every story, with a God-centered world view and a faith that will hold them when the days of testing come. We want them to love the Lord their God with all their heart, and to delight in Him forever.

The children’s Sunday School hour begins with singing in rooms 210–211 (upstairs in the Worship Center). Afterwards each age group goes to their own classrooms for learning and activities.

Child/Infant Dedication

A child dedication is not a baptism. We do not baptize infants. A dedication does not ensure that a child will make it to heaven. The Bible says that a child is a blessing from God. When you decide to dedicate your son or daughter, you are acknowledging the awesome responsibility God has given you in raising your child. A dedication is a ceremony that expresses your desire as parents to raise your son or daughter in the ways of the Bible and to ask God to use your son or daughter for his purposes. You submit your will for your child to His will. As followers of Christ, we want to also make this public declaration to your family, and your church. It is invaluable to be able to tell a child as they are growing up that they belong to Jesus and that you have asked God to use them in a formal declaration, i.e. Child Dedication. If you would like to have your baby or child dedicated, please contact the church office, 452-3351, or email us at ibc@indbible.org.
