Sock Drive

PROJECT HOMELESS CONNECT SOCK DRIVE

IBC is highly involved with the homeless community in Port Angeles through our Clothes Closet, emergency food bags and Care Bags.

Every year, Serenity House of Clallam County hosts the “Clallam County Project Homeless Connect.” Friday, February 8, 9 AM – 3 PM, is the day set aside at Vern Burton to offer on-site services and build community connections between those experiencing homelessness and agencies that offer services.

IBC is having a Sock Drive to offer individuals a pair of new socks (men’s, women’s, kids’) at IBC’s information table. It would be great if every church family could donate at least one pair of new socks—more would be awesome!

Consider doing this as a community project with your home group, youth group or Bible study!

Zoe’s Adoption Celebration

The church family is invited to come and celebrate with the Truckenmiller family, Saturday, Jan. 19, 2:00 ‐ 4:00 p.m. at the Family Life Center fellowship hall.

Many of you have been walking this long journey with Travis & Christi and they would love for you to come and join them in the celebration of Zoe’s adoption!

In lieu of gifts, there is a “Zoe’s Wish List,” listing items for “comfort packs” for foster kids when they are placed in homes. Most of these kids come into homes with nothing, they know no one, they don’t know where they are and they don’t understand what has happened. Call the office to get Zoe’s wish list or look for it in Insights. A little special ‘something’ to call their own can bring much comfort to a frightened child.
